Join USH as NAMI Walks for the Mind of America

This walk happens in over 70 cities across North America, and has raised over 12 million dollars over the last 5 years. Hawaii is priviledged to be a part of this walk for the first time this year.

We’ve entered into a shared agreement with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and 50% of all proceeds received by USH will stay with USH. There is no cost to USH, as NAMI has agreed to absorb all expenses. This is truly a great opportunity for us to heighten the level of awareness, stomp out stigma, and make some money for seriously needed programs. I hope you will be a part of this exciting adventure.

There are three ways to participate:

  1. Become a sponsor by visiting this page and clicking on the Sponsor me now button. Then you can use your credit card to make a donation. Or call 947-5558.
  2. Join our team and raise support from your friends and come walk (or not). To register just google “nami walks united self helpers”, or visit the United Self Helpers team web page . Once getting to that page, click on the Join the team button, then follow the instructions to register.
  3. (Especially consumers or those with limited incomes) just show up at the walk and show your support for mental health in Hawaii. There will be prizes for United Self Help members who are participants (hats, gift certificates etc).
